Expert and competitive review for products

The task:

Objective Experience was commissioned to benchmark the Wi-Fi setup experience of Fuji-Xerox’s printers against the competition.
The goal was to learn from the good practices of the competition and identify areas of improvement for their own printers’ behaviour and design.

The approach:

We conducted expert evaluations for each of the printers benchmarked.

  • Printer operator panel
  • Printer instructions
  • Quick Start Guide documentation
  • CD software setup screens (Windows and Mac OS X)

The outcome:

Based on the findings, Objective Experience provided a list of good design practices across the competing printers for the client to adopt.

We also delivered a consolidated list of areas of improvements prioritised by severity (e.g. Must rectify, Good to rectify etc).
